Babka is my latest obsession, thanks to Deb. It's the heroin of the baked-goods set, all swirly and dark and dense, like your richest fantasies come to life. Yeah, that fantasy.
I mean, if that's not bondage on a plate, I don't know what it is.
But know this, lest ye follow me down the path of chocolate sinfulness: babka kills, my friend, and it does not leave a pretty corpse behind.
Eileen, I have done you wrong. When I dropped that one babka straight out of the oven and it splashed all over my (newly mopped!) kitchen floor, I should have called you immediately so that we could snarf it up. It really IS that good. You told me so, you told me so, but did I listen? Did I? NO. And now, I regret!
Debra, Deb's marvelous - terrific writer and a terrific cook too. Also: take me to your babka! Hee!

OMG. This looks beyond good. It may be the crack of baked goods. Try it once and you're hooked. You'd sell family members for more.
Take me to your babka! And thanks for the link to Deb. What lovely baked goods!
